Conflict Minerals

Miles Industrial Electronics Ltd is a privately held company and is not subject to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act, however many of our customers are and we are committed to high ethical standards and social responsibility.   So we support the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act as it relates to Conflict Minerals (Section 1502).   We do not purchase tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold directly; nor do any of our direct suppliers; that we are aware of, however they are used in many of the components we buy.

We are committed to working with our supply chain to be Conflict Free, however there are many layers between us and the smelters and mines targeted by Section 1502.  To accomplish this we have submitted the EICCG Conflict Minerals Reporting Template to our suppliers and expect them to investigate the source and chain of custody of conflict minerals in the products they provide to us and to disclose this information to us.  At this time we have no indication from our suppliers that our products contain any material referenced in Section 1502.
